PARKPLUS is looking for applicants who posses a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment, and able to work within a team. Chosen applicants will work in roles partaking in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, repairing of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment and devices, support, and training of others. We are currently looking to add to our team in the Miami – Fort Lauderdale area.
Mechanical Technician Responsibilities:
- Install and modify electrical and hydraulic machinery, equipment, and electrical circuitry
- Diagnose cause of mechanical or machine malfunctions in lifts and conveyer equipment
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to solve developmental problems
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Ensure all mechanical components adhere to standards
- Provide support for breakdowns
- Able to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Plan, evaluate, organize and implement mechanical related projects
- Setup of Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and Servo Drives, sprockets, chains, limit switches, hydraulics
- Assist with on-site start-up and troubleshooting, as needed
- Develop Bill of Material
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in engineering or other related fields required
- Familiarity with mechanical schematics
- Excellent root cause analysis skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deadline and detail - oriented
- Computer skills required
- electrical skills and experience a plus
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent work record, including safety, quality and attendance
- Positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle. Job sites are mostly in the Fort Lauderdale – Miami area
- Available for or after-hours overtime work as needed
Job Type:
- Full-time, M - F, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Opportunity for overtime
Salary:
- $20.00 - $30.00 per hour based on experience.
