Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all inventory, financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and ensuring the accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Create, receive, and review purchase orders for accuracy and ensure the approval by the appropriate manager.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure they are within acceptable ranges.
- Ensure all inventory transaction details are recorded accurately in the accounting software.
- Report on inventory levels, cost, and turnover rates to management.
- Manage all aspects of inventory including processing all RMA’s, counts and recording adjustments to inventory levels for items that have been used, damaged, or lost.
- Stage all inventory kits for techs.
- Manage accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.
- Perform daily invoice postings.
- Perform the work order close out process in company software.
- Issue timely and complete financial statements.
- Work with the accounting department on the preparation of financial reports.
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
- Provide financial analyses as needed for management.
- Ensure that bank reconciliations are complete.
Other Functions
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Always ensure confidentiality of customer information.
- Promote a high degree of morale and spirit of motivation within the department and other departments.
- Encourage a high degree of cooperation and communication between this department and all other departments
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Experience with inventory systems strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must possess strong attention to detail, good organizational skills with the ability to ensure accurate work.
- Ability to work independently but as part of a team concept.
- Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.
