Leadership and Operations
- Provide strategic leadership to the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement short and longterm goals for the nursing department to enhance the quality of care and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations while maintaining a high standard of clinical excellence.
- Oversee and manage budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure optimal care delivery.
- Serve as the primary liaison between nursing staff, physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Establish, review, and update policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor patient care quality, infection control, and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting standards.
- Conduct utilization reviews, evaluating medical records, patient care plans, and working closely with families on care decisions.
- Ensure accurate and uptodate electronic medical records (EMR), quality dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Lead recruitment, retention, and performance evaluation efforts to build and maintain a strong, dedicated nursing team.
- Oversee staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care.
- Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Serve as an advocate for residents, ensuring compassionate, personcentered care that aligns with their needs and preferences.
- Respond promptly and effectively to resident or family concerns, fostering trust and positive relationships.
- Oversee administration of vaccines, flu shots, and other necessary annual medical interventions for both residents and staff.
- Serve as the primary oncall contact for nursingrelated emergencies, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Ensure rapid and effective response to any critical care situations or staffing emergencies.
Education and Experience
- Current and active RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of [State Name].
