Job Overview : The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company's end-user support, network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and connectivity across multiple locations. This role is critical in supporting both office-based and field-based employees, providing network services to enhance productivity and ensure seamless communication. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in network management and troubleshooting, as well as experience in maintaining secure and reliable networks for a business environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- User Support : Provide technical support to users, diagnosing and resolving network-related issues, including remote access and connectivity problems for offsite employees using IT Help Desk.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the IT team and other departments to support overall IT operations and ensure network systems meet company needs.
- Hardware and Software Maintenance : Manage and support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
- Backup and Recovery : Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for network systems, ensuring swift recovery in case of network failure or security incidents.
- System Monitoring : Monitor network performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot connectivity problems to minimize downtime and enhance system efficiency.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal regulations, particularly in data privacy and cybersecurity.
- Security Administration : Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, access controls, and data protection policies to safeguard sensitive company information.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed network documentation, including system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides to ensure network continuity.
- Network Management : Oversee and maintain all network components (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless networks, etc.), ensuring high availability and reliability.
