Nurse Manager - Ventilator Unit Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Ventilator Unit, ensuring high standards of care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation
- Lead a team of nurses and respiratory therapists in providing specialized care, ensuring proper ventilation protocols and procedures are followed
- Collaborate with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for ventilator-dependent patients
- Ensure staff receive ongoing training and support in ventilator care, emergency response, and infection control
- Conduct performance evaluations, participate in recruitment efforts, and ensure adequate staffing levels
- Monitor patient conditions, address care concerns, and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies related to ventilator care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the strategic planning of the Ventilator Unit
Nurse Manager - Ventilator Unit Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience managing ventilator-dependent patients: 2 years (Preferred)
- Previous Nurse Manager or leadership experience (Preferred)
- RN Licensure (Required)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a focus on team development
- Knowledge of ventilator equipment and respiratory care protocols
