What are the responsibilities and job description for the Virtual Admissions Representative position at Park University?
Position Accountabilities
Entrance interviews - Connect with prospective students (inquires) by promptly answering incoming phone calls and responding to new inquiries. Identify prospective applicant and conduct introductory assessment. During the interview, the representative evaluates the applicant’s qualifications, past experiences, and objections.
Student applicant review - Explain academic programs and answer any inquiries regarding applications, enrollment, courses, and financial aid. Record information into a database and follow-up with applicants to update statuses and answer any new questions. Conduct a degree and finance planning strategy session with all applicants within 3 days of application. Utilize available technologies and the university CRM to promptly provide student status reports, alert necessary resource personnel, conduct outreach and record interactions.
Student enrollment - Meet enrollment goals set by Assistant Director of Admissions, Virtual for each term during the course of the academic year . Ensure student applicants have successfully registered for and confirmed for the first term of attendance. Execute proactive and intentional notifications to students to complete necessary financial aid and registration/confirmation processes as needed.
Training and development - Admissions representatives will be expected to remain current on trends and best practices regarding student recruitment, support recruitment strategies of the University, and work closely with members of the Admissions Team to deliver prompt and effective service to new student applicants.
Other - Monitor the general admission phone and email, queues. Rapidly respond or route as appropriate.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Preference given to candidates with advising, marketing, or sales experience.
- Preference given to Veterans or candidates with military experience or affiliation.
- Consistent achievement of Sales Quota
- The ability to be self-motivated while performing a number of different tasks.
- Must be able to do research and detailed work.
- Highly flexible, creative, and able to adapt to new project demands.
- Strong persuasive, problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail is a necessity.
- Preference given to candidates with working knowledge and experience with a wide range of computer technology such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), databases, telephony and constituent relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Ability to work both face-to-face and in a virtual environment, effectively and promptly responding to email or phone calls.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Able to work on a non-traditional schedule as necessary, specifically evenings and weekends (as necessary).
