Our Credit Department is expanding! We would love to consider your application for our Credit Specialist position.
The Credit Specialist plays a critical role in assessing and analyzing credit worthiness for small business and consumer loan applicants. Utilizes expertise in underwriting, self-employment income analysis, and credit risk evaluation in ensuring sound lending decisions and maintaining the financial health of the credit union. Additionally, serves as a backup to other members of the Credit Team and provides support across various credit-related tasks.
What you will be working on:
- Providing administrative assistance to the Credit Manager for the administrative functions of the small business and consumer loan programs
- Reviewing tax returns, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and other financial statements to determine an accurate income to be used in the loan analysis
- Performing functions associated with loan origination, maturities and renewals
- Managing and maintaining a workflow for all credit office activities, ensuring deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner
- Serving as a backup for other Credit Department staff

Qualifications
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree, or comparable experience
- Experience as a loan processor or similar position in a lending office setting
- Must be dependable, accurate, detail-oriented, organized, service-oriented, and a team player
- Demonstrates a solid level of technical and software competency
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to prioritize workload and manage a wide variety of tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient in writing and editing
- Embodies the Park View values and lives out the purpose of our credit union
