BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER ANNUAL SALARY: $55,000-$60,000 per year

BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the senior living community. This position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy in billing, payroll, human resources, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about serving seniors in a supportive and respectful environment.

BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Financial & Accounting:

· Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes

· Ensure timely and accurate resident billing and collections

· Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies

· Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting

· Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies

Payroll & HR Support:

· Maintain employee records and files in accordance with HR policies

· Support onboarding and orientation for new hires

· Track attendance, PTO, and benefits administration

· Assist with workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and leave management

Administrative:

· Oversee front office operations and administrative support staff (if applicable)

· Manage office supplies, mail distribution, and vendor communications

· Maintain resident financial files and confidential information

· Respond to resident and family inquiries related to billing or administrative matters

· Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and organizational standards


Qualifications:

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred

· 2 years of business office experience, ideally in senior living, healthcare, or property management

· Knowledge of accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and general accounting practices

· Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid/insurance billing is a plus

· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., AppFolio)

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
