What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Helpdesk Technician position at PARK WEST HEALTH SYSTEMS INCORPORATED?
Position Summary
The Jr. Helpdesk Technician will provide technical support for internal staff within Park West.
Overall responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Log all calls in the call tracking system, creating detailed accurate entries and escalate when necessary.
- Specify user problems and provide a detailed solution to resolve each issue.
- Follow-up with a percentage of callers during downtime to verify that the problem was solved.
- Keep current with development of new technology including but not limited to hardware, software and security systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, printer, server and network issues by listening to the user and asking appropriate questions to build a solution.
- Work with supervisor to investigate and implement ways of reducing calls to the help desk.
- Work to perform other duties that may be necessary for the organization, including manual labor. (Staging, materials, packing, inventory, delivery). Configure and deploy new computers, printers and other equipment.
Required Education and Training
- 1 years of experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems
- Basic understanding of desktop hardware and software diagnostics and troubleshooting

- Basic troubleshooting and working knowledge of Windows Server networks and TCP/IP.
- Basic troubleshooting and working knowledge of LAN networking, LAN networking devices, wireless devices.
- Basic troubleshooting and working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 7 and MAC OS.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Current Versions).
- Ability to make quick and clear decisions
- Meeting deadlines while paying attention to details.
- Organize, prioritize and multi-task while managing users' expectations.
- Work effectively as a team member, as well as independently.
- Excellent problem-solving methodology.
- Basic communications skills both verbal and written.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs.
