Role and Responsibilities:
- Installation of materials for landscape, irrigation, and/or site development.
- Task coordination according to priorities and plans.
- Crew schedule management and attendance monitoring.
- Daily responsibility allocation.
- Worker and tradesperson supervision and training.
- Ensuring adequate manpower and resources.
- Adherence to safety precautions and quality standards.
- Supervision of machinery and equipment use.
- Budget monitoring and expenditure control.
- Liaison between construction workers and Superintendent.
- Problem resolution.
- Progress reporting to Superintendent, Project Manager, or Project Engineer.
- Material and equipment delivery scheduling.
- Monitoring crew production rates, quality control, and safety.
- Time and Material work orders management.
- Job scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
- Weekly tailgate meeting attendance enforcement.
- Safety checks and hazard reviews.
- Hazardous communication folder maintenance.
- Accident reporting and safety activity monitoring.
Compliance Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding assets from theft and misuse.
- Ensuring segregation of duties to minimize fraud.
- Compliance with business ethics, laws, and regulations.
- Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Physical asset reconciliation to accounting records.
- Delegating tasks and overseeing tool and equipment use.
- Crew member recruitment and training.
- Cost, material, equipment, and time estimates.
- Training session scheduling as required.
Qualifications Skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a landscape construction Field Supervisor.
- Bilingual (Spanish).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of Landscape and Irrigation trade.
- Construction drawing and blueprint reading ability.
- Polite and friendly personality for client interaction.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in diverse weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- OSHA Safety Certifications (may be required).
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Availability for after-hours, weekends, and public holidays work, often with short notice.
- Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment.
