Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring excellent guest experiences. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for customer service.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating arrangements to optimize flow and efficiency.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times accurately to guests.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist with guest inquiries, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or providing information as needed.
- Utilize Aloha POS or other point-of-sale systems for managing reservations and guest information.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing guest experiences.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries effectively.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus but not required.
- Ability to manage guest relations with professionalism and courtesy under pressure.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues in a busy environment.
