Job Overview:
We seek an experienced Front-End Developer with expertise in Drupal and Acquia to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience building and optimizing web applications, with a strong focus on front-end development using Drupal CMS and Acquia Cloud platforms. The candidate should be proficient in modern web development technologies and passionate about creating high-quality, user-friendly interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain responsive front-end solutions using Drupal (preferably Drupal 8/9) and Acquia Cloud.
- Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, and other team members to ensure seamless front-end and back-end functionalities integration.
- Design and implement custom themes, templates, and components based on business requirements.
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
- Implement best practices for front-end development, including clean, maintainable code and reusable components.
- Work with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into code, ensuring high-quality visual and interactive elements.
- Debug and resolve front-end issues, ensuring websites and applications are fully functional and bug-free.
- Maintain and improve Acquia-based sites, ensuring optimal performance, security, and accessibility.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development, Drupal, and Acquia platforms.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing best practices and helping the team grow.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on Drupal (Drupal 8/9 preferred).
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6 ), jQuery, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Strong experience with theming and templating in Drupal, including Twig and PHP templating.
- Expertise in Acquia Cloud solutions and integrations with Drupal.
- Experience with responsive design and development, ensuring compatibility across various devices and browsers.
- Understanding of RESTful services and API integration with Drupal.
- Familiarity with Git version control and Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with headless Drupal or decoupled architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes in Acquia environments.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerized development environments.
- Acquia certifications (e.g., Acquia Certified Front-End Specialist) would be an advantage.
