About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Network Security Architect to join our consulting team and support a network security assessment for a client. In this role, you will analyze the client’s technical environment, design robust security architectures, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance network security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop reference architectures and network security blueprints based on assessments of the client’s existing infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, security appliances, and public cloud configurations.
- Conduct technical assessments of network security controls, identifying vulnerabilities and defining security improvements.
- Develop roadmaps and implementation plans to execute network security strategies aligned with industry best practices.
- Create and present architecture segmentation strategies tailored to client needs.
- Review and analyze network security configurations across devices such as firewalls, routers, IDS/IPS, and other infrastructure.
- Assess network segmentation strategies and provide recommendations based on leading practices for telecommunications networks.
- Collaborate with internal and client security teams to enhance the security posture of telecommunications networks.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 5 years of experience in network security, network engineering, or cybersecurity consulting.
- Expertise in assessing configurations across network and security devices (e.g., Cisco routers, NGFWs, load balancers, IDS/IPS).
- Deep understanding of network segmentation technologies and best practices for telecommunications networks, data centres, and service provider environments.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security configurations in AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., VPCs, VNets).
- Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical findings into executive-level reports using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Relevant certifications preferred: CCNP Security, CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or equivalent.
