Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-focused Junior QA Engineer to become a valuable part of our team. This role involves contributing to the quality and reliability of our products through both manual and automated testing. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and eagerness to learn and advance in the field of quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing to identify bugs and ensure the application meets defined requirements.
- Write clear and comprehensive test cases based on user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand project requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain detailed and accurate test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Stay updated with QA methodologies, tools, and industry best practices, and continuously enhance testing skills.
- Assist in maintaining and executing automated test scripts (if applicable).
- Provide feedback to improve product usability, performance, and quality.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC).
- Knowledge of QA tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with test case creation and bug tracking processes.
- Basic understanding of web and mobile applications testing.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to automated testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or similar is a plus.
