Job Overview: Parker Academy is a small, private middle and high school serving 35-40 students who are non-traditional learners. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Special Education Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and enthusiastic leader who thrives in this unique learning setting and is committed to fostering an inclusive community. In this role, the individual will conduct assessments to identify students' unique needs and coordinate with outside specialists as needed. Collaboration with teachers, parents, school districts, and specialists is essential for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and facilitating transition planning for students' future career and college goals. Responsibilities include providing small group and individual instruction, supporting teachers with training on effective instructional strategies, and serving as a family liaison to keep parents informed about their child's progress. The ability to deliver clear presentations and reports, build strong relationships, and utilize relevant technology for individualized instruction is crucial, along with knowledge of working with children with Autism, ADD, and behavioral and emotional disabilities. Compliance with regulations and collaboration with various specialists will ensure comprehensive support for students. Qualifications: Education: Masters degree in teaching or education from an accredited university. Experience: 3 years of special education teaching experience Certifications: Teaching Certification in special education.

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
