Job Overview:
Parker Academy, a small, therapeutic school in Concord, NH, serves around 35 middle and high school students, many of whom have individual learning needs or require emotional support to succeed. Our trauma-informed, strength-based approach emphasizes the importance of quality relationships in fostering an engaging, supportive learning environment. As a neurodivergent-affirming community, we utilize our campus and nearby Winant trails for nature exploration. Our location allows us to utilize the greater Concord area for community service opportunities, life skills practice, and other activities.
We are seeking an innovative Special Education Teacher who thrives in an experiential learning environment. Duties:
Direct teaching (group and individual), employing various teaching techniques, methods, and principles of learning to enable students to meet their IEP goals
Complying with policies and all state/federal rules and regulations
Establishing and maintaining student control and discipline in the classroom, school premises, or during school activities
Attending after-school events such as Parent Nights and Night of the Arts
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
