Job Summary:
We are looking for a friendly and organized dental receptionist to join our team. The dental receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients, handling appointments, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service in a busy dental office setting. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude to ensure a welcoming and efficient office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients as they arrive, creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Verify and update patient information, including insurance details and medical histories.
- Manage patient appointments, including rescheduling, confirming, and canceling appointments as needed.
- Handle patient billing, process payments, and assist with insurance claims and verification.
- Maintain and update patient records in accordance with privacy and confidentiality regulations (HIPAA).
- Prepare and organize patient charts for daily appointments.
- Assist with insurance verification, explaining insurance benefits, and providing cost estimates to patients.
- Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to ensure smooth office operations.
- Handle administrative tasks, including filing, faxing, and data entry.
- Ensure the waiting area and reception are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials (e.g., brochures, forms).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office setting preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and office procedures.
- Proficiency in office software and practice management systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain organized in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with insurance billing and coding is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry office supplies (up to 25 pounds).

Pay: $17.44 - $18.64 per hour
