We are seeking a skilled Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA regulations while performing tasks that involve heavy lifting and equipment operation.
Duties
- Operate sit-down forklift, to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate placement of goods.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
- Perform inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels using basic math skills.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve overall productivity.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including heavy lifting of materials.
Experience
- Previous experience in materials handling within a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices related to forklift operation.
- Experience with equipment repair is a plus, demonstrating a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job demands.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Schedule: Friday - Sunday 6a.m. - 7:30p.m.
Pay Rate: $20.05/hr.
Will train on 3rd shift: Monday - Friday 10p.m. - 6a.m.
