POSITION SUMMARY:

Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards and evaluation methods for products and processes. Provides statistical information for quality improvements by determining and applying testing methods and criteria. Coordinates and guides technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and gage R&R using software programs (Mini-tab, Infinity QS), Excel, databases.
  • Troubleshooting, problem solving.
  • Create formal reports of investigations relating to customer product returns.
  • Interpret failure investigation reports, product return analysis, and quality reports.
  • Support Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supplier Quality on Transfer of Work initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Prior internship experience preferred.
  • American Society for Quality certification desired.
  • Quality Engineering experience with the Aerospace or Automotive industry supporting the aftermarket business.
  • Ability to interpret product blueprints, dimensional, material, GD&T, and drawing requirements.
  • Knowledge of specifications for materials, mechanical/electrical products, and various special processing: chemical process, coatings, welding, heat treating, and non-destructive testing.
  • Understanding of the requirements of AS9100/AS9102 first article inspection reports.
  • Familiar with PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, and control plans.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California and Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $65,561 - $98,886.
