- Operate inspection equipment to include calipers micrometers, snap gauges, and other various precision measuring gauges.
- Operate materials lab equipment to include lab mills, molding presses, tensile tester, rheometer, and other lab equipment.
- Monitor progress of new programs using PPAP database to ensure completion of each task by due date.
- Read blueprints and interpret drawings. Perform statistical analysis of inspection data.
- Perform gage R&R studies and gage calibration.
- Perform first article layouts, dimensional reports and capability studies.
- Utilize inspection data to drive quality improvements in the manufacturing process.
- Actively participate in problem solving teams
- Material cert testing
- Set up new programs on the vision inspection machines.
- Prepare samples and perform testing in the lab.
- Back up quality techs as needed (both lab and production)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of two (2) years experience with customer interface in a quality function (preferred)
- Minimum of two (2) years experience compiling PPAP documentation (preferred)
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working with test equipment in a rubber lab (preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and customer specifications
- Exceptional people skills, along with excellent oral and written communication skills
