Position Summary
Responsible for material flow into and out of the facility’s warehouse locations, and inventory accuracy throughout the plant. Develop and maintain a warehousing process with data integrity to allow for the efficient flow of materials. Will work closely with Shipping, Receiving and Manufacturing personnel.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Performs a variety of distribution activities including shipping, receiving, material handling, stock transactions and inventory management.
- Ensures that material transactions are conducted accurately to ensure proper material count and location accuracy.
- Develops and maintains cycle count program.
- Ensures the accuracy of all locations within facility warehouse.
- Assists in putting received product away in the assigned location with the proper labeling.
- Coordinates activities to ensure safe and efficient storage for all incoming goods and materials.
- Performs cycle counts and other standard inventory activities as necessary to maintain accurate inventory balances.
- Works with Supply Chain to expedite missing components or to resolve issues in the supermarket and consignment areas.
- Works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement appropriate process improvements in team areas.
- Organizes and maintains the warehouse in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Ensures that all necessary safety standards applicable to the workplace are adhered to.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 - 5 years of material handling experience in a Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse environment. SKILLS:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems
- Able to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Flexibility in working hours – willing to work any hours needed and overtime as necessary.
