SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for ensuring all final inspected hose meets customer requirements, conforms to specifications established by Parker and industry standards. Packages hose into reel or box depending on customer requirement.
Organizational Relationships/ Scope
- Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader
- Work closely with Maintenance to resolve issues with the equipment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Check for the correct inside diameter (I.D.) by using the proper ball pin gauge.
- Verify the outside diameter (O.D.) meets specifications by using venire tape or a dial caliper.
- Identify and eliminate any known defects.
- Prepare and complete necessary paperwork.
- Package hose per customer requirement.
- Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
- Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.
- Maintain production schedules.
- Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
- Other duties may be assigned later.
- Required PPE:
- Standing is required for extended periods of time. Pulling, reaching, and grasping are done on a frequent basis. Carrying, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, and lifting overhead are performed on an occasional basis.
- Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions.
- Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Experience
Production work preferred but not required

- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
- Sound decision making skills
- Good math, reading, writing skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product
- Strong trouble shooting skills
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office package
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work well in a team environment
