Design, develop, and test new electronics products unit. Manage new products through the new product development process and resolve field & production issues with existing products.Scope / Supervision and Interaction : This job does not have direct reports (no supervision of staff required).Interfaces with Product Management, Supply Chain and Quality Departments.Essential Functions : Design and test electronic circuits for new products and revisions of existing productsSupervise board layouts and manage Bill of MaterialsFind and approve alternate componentsManage and support product qualification testingCreate detailed documentation for new productsDevelop test fixturing and procedures for manufacturing testingManage product compliance testing at external laboratories and analyze resultsProvide general Engineering support to other departments
Qualifications : BS Degree in Electrical EngineeringStrong experience with electronics lab test equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, etc.)Proven track record of electronics design & developmentAbility to solder & rework SMD components under a microscopeBasic knowledge of embedded programming in C / C Excellent communication and writing skillsQuick learner and able to balance multiple tasksStrong experience with PCB CAD tools (Candence Allegro & OrCAD preferred)Experience with UL 60730 family of standards a plusUnderstanding of principles of refrigeration a plus
