The Planner/Buyer owns the planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the production cycle to achieve on time customer delivery. Responsibilities Maintain a variety of schedules, records, and reports pertaining the tracking of materials through the production cycle and availability of production resources. Establish the necessary flow of Production in the plant to meet customer delivery schedules. Frequent communication with Sales and Customer Service for customer updates and requests. Works closely with Buyers and Quality to improve on time delivery performance. Recommend and maintain MRP settings. Assist in the Inventory Control function of the plant. Ability to cross train within the Materials department to expand abilities and coverage. Qualifications WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Minimum of 2 years’ experience in operations, supply planning, or purchasing PREFERRED Understanding and application of SAP MM functionality EDUCATION REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in business related field, supply chain, or process engineering CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED APICS certification MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER Parker Hannifin Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies.
