Responsibilities
- Perform incoming receiving inspection of raw materials (tubes, burns bars, side plates, etc.)
- Perform in-process and final product inspection to ensure product is built to customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Read drawings and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Identify, communicate and escalate quality issues to site and functional leadership.
- Calibrate all inspection tools in the shop and maintain calibration system as necessary.
- Attend and participate in various types of business meetings.
- Implement inspection sheet for new and existing processes.
- Complete and maintain various types of paperwork.
- Perform the required duties in accordance safety guidelines and lean principles.
- Clean equipment and work area.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Previous Quality (Manufacturing) experience preferred
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, required
- Basic math skills required
- Basic understanding of gauging / measuring devices required
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprint required
- Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
