Physician Assistant-Primary Care
Full Time 11am-11pm
The Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a Full Time Physician Assistant to join our team of dedicated specialists working in the Medical Department.
In this role working alongside caring, dedicated, and experienced Medical leadership, the Physician Assistant will report to the Medical Director, or the supervisory Attending Physician, and is responsible for the delivery of compassionate and quality medical care of assigned residents in coordination with other members of the health care team.
Some key responsibilities of the position include examining residents and delivering quality care in varied settings including subacute, long term, rehab and outpatient care, as well as assisting in resident/patient/family education and re-examine, re-evaluate and modify care plans as necessary, including maintaining proper documentation in resident charts.

Position Qualifications

Two (2) or more years of experience in a sub-acute or long term care facility

Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program

Active license as a PA New York State, with prescriptive privileges

Proficient in SigmaCare or another EMR (Electronic Medical Record) software

Prior experience with the geriatric population is a plus
Salary : $130,000 - $135,000
