Receptionist / Switchboard Operator

Per Diem

The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking a per diem Receptionist / Switchboard Operator to join its team of professionals in Security and Support Services. This position is primarily responsible for operating a multi-line switchboard to direct incoming calls, utilizing internal and external paging systems, and greeting patients, visitors and staff.

Position Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Excellent customer service skills a customer-service attitude.

At least two years of experience in a customer-oriented position is required

Prior experience working as a switchboard operator a plus

Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
