Position Overview:
Parker Medical is seeking a talented and motivated Design Engineer with 3-5 years of SolidWorks experience to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, and manufacture of medical components and sub-systems. You will work closely in a cross-functional team, including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful delivery of innovative medical products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models, drawings, and engineering documentation to support product development and manufacturing processes.
- Perform design analysis, including tolerance studies, stress analysis, and material selection, ensuring optimal functionality, performance and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs based on input from stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and manufacturing teams.
- Participate in the planning, design, validation and introduction of new products to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (ISO9001/AS9100).
- Revise and improve existing product designs to enhance performance, reduce costs, and address feedback from customers or internal teams.
- Maintain accurate records of engineering changes and product revision to ensure all engineering documentation is up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks in a design engineering role.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, PFMEA and DFMEA.
- Proven experience with CAD modeling, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping techniques.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, and assembly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
