Position Summary
The service manager is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance, repairs, installations and upkeep of buildings and equipment for Parker Oil Co overseeing employees within the Maintenance Department.
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be able to deliver prompt, professional solutions for customers
- Must be able to arrive at work on time and work overtime as needed
- Order and maintain inventory within the Maintenance Department
- Troubleshoots and repairs fuel dispensers and other electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment as needed.
- Ensure company, local, state and national safety, policy, regulatory standards are met and maintain zero preventable accidents
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers
- Load, unload and safely operate gasoline powered equipment, power and hand tools and other equipment as needed
- Supervise Maintenance staff and hiring staff as needed, make sure employees receive necessary training
- Throughout the day, direct and relay service calls as needed, answer emails and talk to customers who have asked to speak to the manager.
Certificates & Licenses
- Must hold a valid Virginia or North Carolina drivers license
- Must obtain a Class A drivers license with Hazmat endorsement within 6 months of hire
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to climb in and out of the back of a service truck
- Must be able to sense sound (ability to hear a pressure leak)
- Sense of smell (ability to smell odorant in propane)
- Must be able to distinguish colors
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses, protective gloves, face shield, hard hat, safety vest, steel toe boots
