The Category Manager - Food Service role focuses on managing food and beverage programs, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality products that meet brand standards and safety protocols.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsibilities :

  • Drive the sales growth of food and beverage programs.
  • Identify opportunities for improving margins and introducing new products.
  • Develop communication plans to ensure all stakeholders are aligned during product rollouts.
  • Ensure that products and services are delivered on time, at the agreed price, and meet the company’s quality standards.
  • Build relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best product selection possible and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and document operational processes for food service and beverage programs.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments (e.g., Pricebook team) to ensure proper recipe setup, pricing, and cost management
  • Implement and monitor the execution of food and beverage programs, ensuring high standards in food preparation, portion control, presentation, and cost control.
  • Provide operational support, ensuring food service meets company expectations for quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and cost control measures.
  • Monitor operations to ensure all food and beverage programs are operating within budget and aligned with company goals.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS :

Required :

  • 5 years prior management experience in food service
  • Must maintain a current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license with an insurable driving record
  • Must maintain current Manager Food Safety Certification from ANSI accredited program
  • Preferred :

  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of food and beverage planning, production and presentation.
  • Culinary Degree
  • Chain restaurant R&D experience
  • Experience with managing dispensed beverage programs
  • Previous experience in a multi-unit environment
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Food Production Management Systems and presentation software
  • Ability to successfully develop scalable and sustaining recipes, menus and programs for multi-unit restaurant concepts

  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods sitting / standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
