What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC/Refrigeration Technician (South Carolina) position at Parker's Kitchen?
The HVAC / Refrigeration Technician proactively maintains all air conditioning and refrigeration equipment within the stores ensuring they are in good working order. This individual will maintain a professional working relationship with Parker's employees and customers, as well as work efficiently, utilizing proper routing and time management skills to quickly prioritize repairs troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment according to established OSHA guidelines. The technician will maintain the proper mechanical ability needed to safely address work orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes assigned tasks in a safe manner to protect yourself, Parker's employees, and customers.
- Exhibits leadership behavior through the effective interaction within various levels of the organization
- Ensures the completion of work orders within assigned SLA
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and make repairs to equipment and facilities.
- Reinforces the safe usage of tools and adherence to safety policies and safety work practices
- Participates in regular correspondence with Parker's Maintenance and Operations personnel to provide updates and details on more major required repairs.
- Has the ability to provide training and guidance to lesser experienced technicians on equipment / facilities issues
- Follow established protocols to plan and execute a route that has the greatest impact on priority, sales producing, and work orders that are coming due
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), Service Now and assigned mobile device to prioritize and document work orders
- Follow established guidelines by starting and finishing work shifts at locations based on prioritization criteria
- Perform all inventory control procedures for transferring, selling, requesting, and returning parts and / or materials to or from the Support Center or other parts warehouses
- Complete all warranty returns regularly completing all associated requested paperwork
- Use assigned company credit card according to all policies and procedures. Complete expense reports by end of month at a minimum
- Properly maintain company vehicle to company standards
- Maintain all parts and supplies per department procedures (including appropriate tracking, usage, and handling of reclaimed refrigerants)
- Provide good customer service by communicating effectively with customers, store employees, peers, vendors and others as necessary
- Always maintain a professional approach
- Monitor and provide appropriate response time while on-call
- Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
