SYSTEMS ENGINEER

The Systems Engineer participates in implementation, maintenance, and administration of LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks. Duties include maintenance and support of servers and applications in physical and virtual environments, including backup / restore operations, and disaster recovery readiness of critical systems. Other responsibilities include system rollouts, design, implementation, and working with the IT / Innovation team on projects to propel the company further.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsibilities :

• Maintain, update, build, document, troubleshoot, and monitor the organization's information systems and IP LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks.
• Maintain and expand virtual environment.
• Interpret written, oral, and diagrammed instructions.
• Work effectively with the technical staff of vendors and partner facilities.
• Assist in the installation, documentation, inventory, maintenance, and troubleshooting information technology assets.
• In depth knowledge of Windows Server, PowerShell, Windows 10, VMWare, Hyper-V, and Storage Systems.
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP / IP).
• Proficiency in cloud technologies, AWS, Azure preferred.
• Suggest and oversee improvement processes.
• Stay up to date with latest technology and best practices.
• Adhere to PCI compliance and confidentiality policies at all times.
• Configure, maintain, and test disaster recovery and backups quarterly.
• Domain experience with Active Directory functionalities, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP in on-prem and Azure.
• Maintains systems documentation, including process diagrams, installation / configuration procedures, and support system knowledgebase article.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for SOC escalations and conduct detailed analysis of escalated alerts, ensuring quick containment and mitigation.
• SIEM Solutions : Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems such as Splunk, LogRhythm, or QRadar for threat hunting and log analysis.
• Utilize EDR tools like SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, or Carbon Black to detect, isolate, and resolve malicious activities on endpoints. Document incidents for continuous improvement of playbooks and incident response protocols.
