Job Summary
This non-exempt, non-benefited, temporary position will be helping with various tasks in the warehouse, including inventory management.
Supervision Received
Works under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Superintendent.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Inventorying District equipment and supplies. Inventory counts of District equipment and supplies.
- Ensure records, including labeling and inventory, are developed and maintained.
- Organize storage areas.
- Utilizing pallet jack, forklift, and power equipment to organize warehouses and storage areas throughout the District.
- Utilizing computer spreadsheets and databases to enter information on District equipment and supplies.
- Perform routine clean-up and housekeeping of work areas and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to the District's insurance company.
Working Conditions/Physical Activities
- Monday – Friday, 40-hour workweek. May be subject to overtime on an as-needed basis.
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment where noise, irritants, dust, dirt and varying temperatures are present.
- Full range of body movements including stooping, twisting, kneeling, bending, lifting, leaning, reaching, climbing (heights), stretching and working in awkward positions. May stand for extended periods of time.
- Physical effort required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds frequently.
