Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our operational processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards across all activities. This role requires a strong background in equipment management and maintenance, as well as the ability to lead a team effectively.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Oversee employees probing for water lines and meters for repair, maintenance and installation.
- Manage heavy equipment (Excavator) operation including the maintenance and repair of machinery.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards, particularly in water treatment and wastewater treatment processes.
- Coordinate heavy lifting tasks while ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Lead a team of operators, providing training and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, equipment usage, and maintenance schedules.
- Complies with federal and state regulations and all established corporate policies and procedures.
Skills
- Responsible for the overall management of the daily operations by working with management to formulate administer corporate polices involving field operations, plant operations, meter reader operations and construction. Proficient in operating heavy equipment with a strong understanding of safety protocols.
- Self-starting individual who possesses High School diploma or GED and at least one-year prior experience as a crew helper or related position.
- Must be able to read, write, and follow written instructions
- Must possess a current Texas Driver License
- Flexible schedule is a must
- Strong skills in equipment repair and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to water treatment processes is preferred.
- Position requires the ability to work submerged in water and mud as needed in order to repair or install pipe and install water meters.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, reach and balance
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to manage teams effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to build solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Other duties as may be assigned
