Your Role as Senior Superintendent
As the Senior Superintendent, you’ll oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating foundation, structure, enclosure, MEP, and finishes work with subcontractors.
- Reviewing and managing all digital blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Monitoring and maintaining the project schedule while identifying critical path activities.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and correcting deficiencies.
- Facilitating subcontractor coordination and mentoring team members in construction best practices.
- Leading meetings with owners, architects, design teams, and project managers.
- Providing daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates.
- Maintaining operations on an active K-12 campus, ensuring safety for all occupants.
What We’re Looking For
Experience and Expertise
- Minimum 12 years of construction experience with 8-10 years in a senior supervisory role.
- Proven background in ground-up public works or commercial construction with projects valued at $50M-$100M.
- Strong experience in structured steel and masonry is highly valued.
- Demonstrated expertise in Steel/Concrete foundation, structure, enclosure, MEP, and finishes.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Experience leading large teams, including subcontractors, project engineers, and superintendents.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with owners, design teams, and trade partners.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and MS Project.
- Ability to read and manage civil and digital blueprints.
Certifications and Requirements
- OSHA 30 certification a PLUS.
- Ability to pass a drug and background test.
- Local to Pleasanton, CA, or willing to relocate.
Compensation and Work Environment
- On-Site Role: Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.
- Team Structure: Oversee 2 Superintendents, support staff, and a Project Engineer.
- Workplace: Fully equipped double-wide onsite office for efficient collaboration.
