Overview
The golf shop counter attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to members and guests of the club. This role involves checking in golfers, handling transactions, managing tee time reservations, and assisting with various customer inquiries. This position could potentially lead into an education with the PGA of America's Professional Golf Management program for the right candidate expressing interest.

Duties
· Customer Service: Greet and assist members and guests in a friendly, professional manner. Answer questions about the golf course, facilities, and services.
· Tee Time Management: Schedule and manage tee time reservations using the clubs online booking system. Ensure accurate and timely updates to the schedule.
· Transaction Handling: Process payments for golf, merchandise, and other services. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate records.
· Merchandise Sales: Assist customers with purchasing golf equipment, apparel, and accessories. Maintain an organized golf shop. Assist with receiving, tagging, and shipping merchandise. Support inventory management as needed.
· Facility Maintenance: Ensure the counter area and golf shop are clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
· Communication: Relay important information to customers, such as course conditions, upcoming events, and special promotions. Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and customer interactions. Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
· Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with golf course policies and procedures.
Qualifications
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
· Experience: Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred. Knowledge of golf and golf course operations is a plus.
· Skills:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Proficiency in using computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) software.
· Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.

Working Conditions
· Environment: This position is primarily based at the golf course counter and pro shop. May require standing for extended periods.
