General Description
As a Mobile Commercial Tire Technician, you will be accountable for properly and safely performing tire service on all types of equipment including passenger automobiles, Light Trucks, RV’s, Semi-Tractors and Trailers, Industrial and Farm Equipment. Experience is preferred however we are willing to provide job training.
Position Type: Full Time
General Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 5:00pm
- Week-ends on Rotating Shifts
- May include On Call for afterhours Road Calls
Hourly Compensation: $18 - $25 per hour based on experience
Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent (Required)
- CA Driver License (Required)
- US Work authorization (Required)
- Must speak English
- Spanish speaking (Preferred)
- Previous Commercial Service Tire Experience (Preferred), willing to provide job training
- Must be self-starting and willing to take initiative
- Must be willing and able to work successfully without direct supervision
- Must have excellent communication skills and work well with others
- Not required, but being able to service OTR tires is a plus
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understanding and complying with all Tire Industry Related Safety Regulations
- Safely driving mobile service truck to jobsites, either at customer facilities or roadside
- Safely securing and servicing all types of tires, including passenger, light truck, RV, semi-truck and trailer, industrial and farm
- Working safely and wearing proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Dismounting, mounting, and reinstalling tires onto vehicles and equipment
- Inflating tires to prescribed air pressures
- Repairing tires with minor injuries
- Properly maintaining and keeping clean assigned equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Stand for long periods of time which may include heavy lifting, including commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting
- Be able to lift 75 lbs., carry 50 lbs. and push/pull 60 lbs.
- Steel-toed footwear and safety glasses are required
- Ability to mount or dismount tires/wheels assemblies
- Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs
