Position Overview
We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to help keep our campus clean, organized, and in excellent condition. This role is hands-on and varied, requiring someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and willing to assist with general maintenance, cleaning, and event setups. The schedule may include evenings and weekends as needed for school functions and church events.
Key Responsibilities
- Campus Cleanliness: Assist with daily cleaning, trash removal, and sanitizing common areas, classrooms, and restrooms.
- Event Setup & Breakdown: Arrange furniture, equipment, and supplies for school and church functions.
- Light Maintenance: Perform minor repairs, change lightbulbs, and assist the facilities team with routine upkeep.
- Safety & Organization: Ensure hallways, outdoor spaces, and storage areas remain clean, clear, and well-maintained.
- Team Support: Work closely with the facilities team to ensure the campus operates efficiently and smoothly.
Qualifications
- Experience in custodial work, maintenance, or facilities support is preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- A team player who takes pride in their work and enjoys serving a Christian school community.
