Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating students in grades 6-8, a strong foundation in their subject area, and a commitment to integrating Christian values into their instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons in core subject areas.
• Create a structured and supportive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and spiritual growth.
• Integrate biblical principles into daily instruction and classroom discussions.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration in the classroom.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians to support student success.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to enhance the middle school program.
• Participate in school activities, events, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid state teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Experience teaching middle school students is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of subject-specific content and best teaching practices.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of Parkhurst Academy.
