- Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants, to develop innovative design concepts for institutional and healthcare projects.
- Participate in the design development phase, contributing creative ideas and solutions that align with the project's vision and objectives.
- Assist in producing detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and visualizations to effectively communicate design concepts to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the preparation of design presentations, construction documents, and bid packages.
- Conduct research and analysis to support design decision-making, considering sustainability, accessibility, and user experience.
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure seamless integration of architectural elements with other disciplines.
- Stay informed about industry trends, advancements, and best practices in institutional and healthcare architecture.
- Collaborate with the Senior Architectural Designer and Project Manager to meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in client meetings and engage in design discussions to understand client needs and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to institutional and healthcare architecture projects.
- Actively contribute to design charrettes and workshops to promote a collaborative design culture within the firm.
- Assist in the preparation of architectural specifications and material selections.
- Post-Secondary diploma or degree in an architecturally related field.
- 4 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on institutional and healthcare projects in Canada.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong design and visualization skills to convey design concepts effectively.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and a commitment to integrating environmental strategies into projects.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to institutional and healthcare architecture.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Demonstrated passion for design excellence and a commitment to professional growth.
