Solidworks Drafter
Parkinson Technologies, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial winding, converting, melt filtration, and plastic processing equipment, has an immediate opening for a Solidworks Drafter. The individual will report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and responsible for designing large-scale capital equipment.
Requirements:
- Requirements AAS Mechanical Design & Drafting
- Minimum 3 years experience with Solidworks drafting
- The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Solidworks with credentials or certifications, the ability to create detail-oriented drawings adhering to company standards, and juggle multiple drawings in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience: or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Strong SolidWorks skills
- Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written; asking questions is favorable
- Outstanding organizational ability, efficiency in job approach, diligence, and self-motivation
- High confidence, but also high objectivity for successfully designing as part of lean engineering teams
- Capacity to take full ownership of work, from wide-ranging customer interactions to the smallest design elements
- High level of responsibility and accountability for handling technical, scheduling, and budgetary challenges
- A change-welcoming nature and a desire to constantly strive for professional improvement
- Exceptional computer literacy with most ubiquitous systems: Windows OS, MS Excel / Access / Outlook / PowerPoint / Word, etc.
Responsibilities:
· The Solidworks Drafter will be responsible for creating engineering drawings
· Creates Solidworks drawings for engineering
· Retrieves and stores drawings & files properly within the Solidworks file management program and folders
· Able to work from redlines, hand sketches, and scanned documents to update prints
· Prepare accurate, detailed drawings from data supplied
· Maintain drawings and complete revisions as needed
· Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes in collaboration with associated team members to ensure consistent documentation of each project
