The Video Production Specialist collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and administration to design, film, and edit videos for promotional, informational, and instructional purposes, as well as for PCTV programming to the Parkland College community.

- Plan, organize, lead, and perform a full range of video production activities, including concept development, studio and field production, operating cameras, utilizing video switchers and other studio equipment, and video editing.
- Collaborate with the PCTV Director to identify, develop, and create visual stories that support the mission of Parkland College.
- Set up equipment for the PCTV studio and Faculty Media Creation Space.
- Maintain and organize studio spaces and equipment.
- Perform closed captioning for completed video projects as needed.
- Participate in College committees, outreach events, and community engagement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience with lighting and filming in both studio and field productions.
- Proficient in video editing and software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Experience with various digital formats and cameras.
- Experience with streaming formats and web-based video delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks appropriately.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Compliance with SURS return-to-work restrictions for employers (40 ILCS 5/15-139.5), requiring candidates to either not be a SURS annuitant or be willing to suspend their SURS annuity upon employment, except for those receiving their annuity under the Self-Managed Plan (SMP) or by lump sum payment.
