What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Analyst position at Parkland?
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Determination/Tax Matrix for multi-State
- Maintain License/ exemption
- Keep up with tax laws and knowledges
- Set up new taxes, new locations and tax set up in PDI
- Support BU for tax exemption documentation
- Assist with the on boarding process to ensure accurate billing of taxes
- Understanding Multi-State for Sales and Use Tax
- Understanding Multi-State for Fuel Tax
- Review tax returns by accounting firm
- Respond to requests from other functional teams
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of a Business degree with an Accounting/Finance concentration or similar.
- 1-2 years of experience working in Finance or similar department
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience with PDI is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and within a small team environment.
- Enthusiastic with a desire to learn and grow
- Strong computer skills
- Critical thinking skills
