Nurse Educator - Behavioral Health Job Description
As a Nurse Educator - Behavioral Health at Parkridge Valley Hospital, you will play a vital role in enhancing professional practice and providing quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement evidence-based educational programs that promote professional competency among nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensed clinical staff.
You will participate in the development, coordination, management, facilitation, conduct, and evaluation of onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel. Additionally, you will design and identify educational activities to address practice gaps for targeted audiences, including licensed and non-licensed healthcare personnel.
Your expertise will also be utilized to plan educational content delivery that encourages learner engagement, conducts research, EBP, and QI in patient care settings, and identifies strategies to facilitate lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement evidence-based educational programs
- Participate in onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel
- Design and identify educational activities to address practice gaps
- Plan educational content delivery that encourages learner engagement
- Conduct research, EBP, and QI in patient care settings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or other clinical field (required)
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or other clinical field (preferred)
- 3 years' experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
- 2 years' experience in clinical education (preferred)
