Parks Building Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial health of our company. Duties And Responsibilities
General Accounting:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the building materials, construction, or manufacturing industries.
Management Preference
Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
Working Conditions
Typical office environment with extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Regular full-time work hours, with occasional extended hours during peak periods such as month-end and year-end closings, audits, and budgeting cycles. Hybrid work environment options may be available, combining on-site and remote work as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods and perform long hours of work on a computer. Occasional lifting of office supplies or documents weighing up to 20 pounds. Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, or training sessions as required. Effective communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

Duties And Responsibilities
General Accounting:
- Assists with preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closings.
- Assist with monitoring and managing accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to management.
- Assists with ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, including sales tax reporting.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with tax regulations, particularly sales and use tax compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other ERP systems).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Aptitude for learning new software and adapting to changing technologies.
