The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Cayuga Lake State Park in the Finger Lakes Region is seeking a full-time seasonal to perform cleaning tasks at our facilities. This position involves a variety of cleaning tasks, including but not limited to: • Assigned to clean facilities that require a high degree of cleanliness.• Stocks cleaning carts with appropriate supplies according to assigned tasks; and prepares, mixes, and dilutes cleaning solutions following manufacturer directions.• Scrubs and cleans campground restrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and drains, using hand-operated equipment and cleaning agents. • Washes floors, entry corridors, hallways, stairwells, walls, partitions, and windows using detergents, mops, microfiber cloths, sponges, brushes, and other cleaning devices.• Cleans and scrubs all areas of locker rooms, such as sinks, urinals, toilets, showers, drains, floors, and locker room common areas.• Performs routine checks of bathrooms throughout the day to ensure cleanliness and supplies are stocked.• Clean entryway, overhangs, porches, and immediate outside area of cabins. • Clean and disinfect all areas inside of cabins, including removal of cobwebs, cleaning windows and sills, cleaning and sanitation of mattresses, cleaning of appliances, tables and shelving, cleaning of ceiling fans and light fixtures. • Replaces, cleans, and/or hangs building fixtures and decorative items, such as curtains, blinds, and pictures.• Moves, and arranges furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning tasks or in preparation for cabin arrivals.• Empties trash, recyclables, and waste, in accordance with cleaning schedule.• Replaces light bulbs, and dusts or washes light fixtures and high places, such as ceilings, using ladders, other appropriate equipment, and tools.• Polishes wood and metal surfaces, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.• Monitors cleaning supplies and equipment; and notifies supervisor of supply levels, equipment malfunction, and/or maintenance issues observed during cleaning. • May be required to follow specialized disinfectant, waste disposal, and cleanliness standards in performing cleaning tasks; perform routine laundry tasks; and change bed linens.• Wears appropriate protective clothing, and other specialized protective equipment as required by the cleaning assignments.• Adhere to the agency’s Code of Conduct Policy and ensure compliance with all guidelines, policies, and procedures in the performance of daily tasks.
