Selected interns will complete a 4-month paid internship as a part of the Parks & Recreation Information Technology team.

The job responsibilities will include:
- Provide Systems Support: Support Parks & Recreation computer and mobile systems including asset management, deployment, and provisioning.
- Customer Relationship Management: Learn how to build lasting relationships and provide impactful solutions to a diverse group of employees with a focus on JEDAI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Access, and Inclusion), and empathy.
- Work As a Team to Solve Complex Operational Issues: Assist with district projects that touch all forms of enterprise systems including permissions, access controls, authentication, and networks.
- Contribute to Developing a Cybersecurity Program: Contribute to discussions related to implementation of Cybersecurity controls using the latest risk management framework standards.
- Applicants must be enrolled as a student at Tacoma Community College in an information technology focused program.
Experience with information systems. - Familiarity with any of the following software programs: Windows 10, Windows 11 Microsoft Intune, file and folder permissions and Active Directory.
- Coursework related to information systems, cybersecurity, networking and servers, or business applications.
- Oral and written communication and customer service skills and experience.
- Strong active listening skills.
- Ability to lift, crouch, and crawl sometimes in confined spaces to access information systems assets.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Salary : $21 - $23
