Parkside is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Trust Advisor, responsible for the administration, risk management and service of assigned fiduciary and investment management accounts. This role will often include relationship management responsibilities, and requires product knowledge and account expertise (including, but not limited to IRAs, Charitable/Philanthropic Accounts, ILITs, estates, etc.).
The Trust Advisor is accountable for serving and retaining existing relationships in the Trust and Family Office Division. Account administration will include following all governing compliance (i.e. estate planning documents and state statutes) and Parkside Financial Bank & Trust policies and procedures. Bachelor’s degree required, law degree and/or Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain client contact and communication to ensure client needs are met and exceeded
- Meet compliance, account administration and customer service requirements of accounts while adhering to applicable laws, regulations, policies and governing agreements
- Ability to administer account relationships with more complex legal or unique asset responsibilities.
- Develop new business relationships and additional business opportunities from existing clients
- Develop cross-sell opportunities from trust client base for other areas of the Bank
- Develop and maintain knowledge and communication of investment guidelines and practices
- Assist other Advisors in their development of new business and additional business from existing clients
- Responsible for other tasks as assigned by manager or other members of management.
- Provide support on special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required; CTFA preferred
- 5 years of experience working with financial and estate planning concepts
- Motivated self-starter with strong analytical skills
- Able to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Able to work both independently and as an integral part of a team
- Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality and integrity
- Service oriented and possess a “can do” customer-service attitude
- Willingness to learn and contribute to company’s financial growth and profitability
