All Campus Security Managers are unarmed security personnel. This position provides a proactive means of meeting the safety and security of the students, staff and the community within the school.

FLSA: Exempt
Contract Unit: This position is part of the supervisory support services bargaining unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Three years minimum experience working with the public and/or directly with schools and school staff.
Thorough knowledge of WCPS policies, procedures, and school operations.
Knowledge of system resources and services available to parents and students.
Knowledge of computer applications desirable.
Ability to communicate effectively, motivate, encourage, and work with students, staff and community.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational, oral, written, and human relations skills required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate with school administrators, Safe Schools Coordinator, and school-based crisis team leaders to provide oversight and direction to all campus patrol team members assigned at a campus in maintaining a safe and orderly school environment.
Assist with the administering and supervising of all student related school activities.
Ensure proactive patrolling of school buildings and the surrounding campus.
Ensure daily monitoring of building access management (Raptor) systems (sign in/registration and identification).
Coordinate reporting of unusual activities or unauthorized persons to a school administrator.
Ensure daily perimeter checks of all doors and windows and logging completion of checks in manner identified by Safe Schools Coordinator.
Ensure security camera systems and electronic locking systems are functioning properly reporting any malfunctions to the Safe Schools Coordinator.
Coordinate campus patrol team member activities and response to emergency situations for assistance.
Oversee daily activities of campus patrol team members, ensuring security duties are complete to include monitoring of school hallways and other shared areas such as cafeterias and athletic facilities.
Oversee campus patrol team members duties during assemblies and other school functions, and activities.
Ensure the daily school safety and security checklist and other reports are completed as required.
Coordinate and ensure attendance of campus patrol team members at required team meetings.
Coordinate and ensure all campus patrol team members assigned to their team participate and successfully complete all required training.
Attendance at evening and weekend student and community activities may be required.
