The Access Specialist is responsible for meeting with prospective persons to evaluate clinical situations, with emphasis on identifying clinical risk factors. Provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychological, physical and general aspects of patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Assists law enforcement, family members and others with the admission process, both voluntary and emergency detentions. Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate. Assigns persons in need of treatment to the appropriate outpatient program and coordinates inpatient admissions through the medical staff. The “Access Specialist I” is expected to function as a member of the multidisciplinary team by working collaboratively with the team to provide individuals with access to services. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
Access Specialist
- Valid State of Oklahoma LPN License, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent of experience
- Minimum of (1) year experience in a behavioral health setting
